he cabinets show up on a tractor trailer and 3 friends from work lend me a hand on unloading everything and then stacking it all into the old dining room. Before they get installed, I paint the walls and ceiling. The cabinets then get installed in 3 days along with the crown molding in both rooms and the hallway. I then wait for the rest of the appliances to show up before the counter top people agree to come and make a template of it all. It is exactly 4 weeks from the time I call the counter top people to the installation date. After the counter top installation is complete, the plumber and electrician come back to finish the rest of their work. This includes the sink, dishwasher, light fixtures, and breaker box. The propane company then comes and converts the cooktop to propane and drops off the tank. The floor gets the final 3rd coat of finished and finally, the project is ready for inspection. Luckily, everything passes!

Finish work - May 5, 2008
